MISTER is a taxi-like, Private Transportation System for the Public Ecological, 21st century, public transportation system of PRT type (Personal Rapid Transit), will significantly change for the better the way in which we travel and live in cities and beyond ; solving traffic congestion and the stress associated with commuting. It will also revolutionize goods delivery logistics and garbage removal. Very importantly, it will reduce pollution within cities, as it won’t emit any pollutants and will be extremely energy efficient (under 2 KW needed while cruising ie. like an electric hair dryer). MISTER is a taxi-like service for public and cargo transportation. It is driven by demand and individual travel requirements with a realistic throughput of some 5,000-10,000 passengers p/hour (in one direction). The total distribution capacity will be even higher than metro systems, not to mention buses and tramways, because MISTER is surface-based (a denser network than buses) and not corridor bound, like metros. Small and light vehicles (300 kg tara + 1-5 passengers), fully automated and driverless, travel at a constant speed of some 50 km/h between any start and destination stops within the MISTER network (without any intermediate stops). Lightness of the vehicles translates into lightness of the overhead truss-rail infrastructure (under which the Pods are travelling) and supporting posts. Externally powered (traction) electric motors are integrated into the vehicles (Pods) carriage assembly. Small, off-line stops, which are not obstructing any other traffic (existing or own), are located more frequently than bus stops and have parallel bays for quicker loading/unloading. They can be located on the pavement or inside hotels, buildings, malls, hospitals, cinemas etc., providing additional comfort and safety. Convenient wheel chair access everywhere, aircon, constant level position of the vehicles.
Ticket costs will be similar to the current public transport costs and much less than using private cars.This is possible because of the drastic reduction in costs of energy requirements, maintenance and staffing, as well as to the less expensive infrastructure, when compared to metros or even bus or tramways. MISTER avoids all of the problems inherent in current city transport systems. At the same time all economical and functional parameters are vastly improved in comparison to buses, tramway,s metros or light rail. It is also far less expensive and much quicker to build & instal than any other infrastructure. Entire system is fully controlled and automated by an intelligent, distributed computer network, which ensures safety and security of all vehicle movement and of passengers at the stops and in vehicles. Please Note ! There are few other systems in commercial development stage right now (USA, Sweden and UK) and therefore a breakthrough in acceptance of PRT systems. This means that the PRT REVOLUTION has already began ! However, other systems are using designs and technologies, which seem to be less efficient in terms of energy, throughput, weight or system control. We believe that MISTER is less expensive to build and operate, simpler and more functional.
