HOLON

HOLON – A Warsaw Architecture Studio Project www.centrala.net.pl

A group of young Warsaw designers proposed the idea of aeration canals incorporating at the same time a way to interlace all the green spaces available in Warsaw, from regular parks, through to working gardens and urban sanctuaries. The structure would surpass the streets with walking bridges along with a system of elevated rail taxis - MISTER.

Opole geting support for MISTER

Mayor of Opole, Ryszard Zębaczyński, confirm support for building MISTER.

Prototype in Opole

In Sept2007, Opole city main square became the show stage for MISTER prototype. It consisted of the vehicle and a short section of rails, which included switching mechanism, as shown on the pictures and video clips. Vehicle itself was appointed with a 3 seater sofa at the back, 2 foldable seats at the front and a computer system with demonstration of navigation and entertainment facilities. The whole set was a fully working prototype, capable of changing rails in motion.

MISTER demonstrator proved a major attraction and interest to city dwellers. Numerous discussions arose while questions and concerns were answered directly by the system designer, Ollie Mikosza. For most parts, people were positively disposed towards this new concept of their future mode of city travells.

Opole City planned network

This is the planned network for 34 km of MISTER trunk lines and stops, which was proposed by the city planners and approved by the Mayor and The Council.

By this fact, to the best of our knowledge, Opole has become the first city in the World which has given permission for the full implementation of a PRT system.

It will span the city in its first phase of MISTER development. It will connect all the main residential areas with work, shopping and entertainment centers.
